Coming to Multnomah

Dr. Garry Friesen’s Story In this episode, Dr. G shares the surprising and grace-filled path that led him to Multnomah — a journey shaped by missions, obedience, and one very unexpected job interview. From finishing his doctoral program to being invited to help start seminaries in Africa, every step seemed to point in one direction… even when he didn’t realize it yet. When most schools passed him over because he planned to serve overseas after two years, Multnomah did something completely different. Their response captured the heart of the school:“If we expect our students to be open to missions, why not our faculty?” This video is a look back at the beginnings of a long and influential ministry — one rooted in Scripture, fueled by missions, and filled with stories many former students will remember fondly. Whether you’re a former student or faculty member, a long-time friend of Multnomah, or part of Dr. G’s growing ministry family in Rwanda, we hope this encourages you.
