Mitchell Library Project

ABC (All the Bible in Community) has purchased the John and Mary Mitchell Library.   This addition of 108,000 books makes the Mitchell Library of Rwanda the largest in Africa.

There is a remaining need of $19,300 for the books. Donation links are available below.

Update: The books have arrived in Rwanda! Read the update on the Multnomah Family Blog.

The books from the Multnomah Mitchell Library will be an excellent resource for the students of All the Bible in Community.

Although we are saddened by the sale of the library, we are grateful that it is preserved to further its mission of addressing biblical literacy, now with a focus on Africa to our extended Multnomah family there.

What is ABC?

A circular logo with a dark green outer ring, a yellow inner circle, and an open Bible with an African continent outline. The text reads: "All the Bible in Community" at the top and "ABC" at the bottom.

A Mighty Army

It’s no surprise that when a call was given, the Multnomah Family showed up. More than 100 volunteers gave 400 hours to pack five containers holding about 108,000 books, tables, library carts and framings. We are so excited for you, ABC, to get these books and fall more in love with the Savior!

Every box moved is another step toward completing the journey of the Mitchell Library collection. Each book represents decades of scholarship, study, and faithful teaching—resources that will soon serve new readers and students. What once filled the library of the Multnomah campus will now have the opportunity to inspire and equip the people of Rwanda to “fall more in love with their Savior” as they work to establish the largest theological library in Africa.
